Even the worst driveway can be made into the envy of the neighborhood.
Crack repair is very important in asphalt maintenance because it prevents water from entering through the crack to the sub-base of the asphalt.
If improperly drained, the water can soften the supporting base and may lead to erosion of the asphalt and potholes, requiring costly future repairs.
The cold Maine climate greatly accelerates the deterioration process due to the freeze-and-thaw action.
When temperatures go up, the ice melts and causes holes in the sub-base. Without support, the pavement will eventually cave in.
